Wow, my eyes look semi-retarded haha. I literally did twenty back flips outside to suppress my urge to scream, and lots of au batidos (that one handed leg thing) with my Mac. The timing was a bitch, since I have to click it and then time it to the three second delay to pose myself on time.

BUT IT WAS DAMN WORTH IT.

I also need to update the main page. I'll have it finished by tonight (12:00 A.M. Pacific Time.)

I couldn't have done it without all of you guys. You really pushed me this year to do my best, and your advice is what got me to this position as an artist. I can only imagine how you'll pull me through when I meet you guys in the future, even if it means waiting for a year or two to see you.

My family helped out tons too, their work was invaluable to me.

All of you are my inspiration, dedication, and motivation to keep drawing, even if I'm facing the worst end of life.

Thanks, wow.

BTW about the excepted student event....
Most of what you get out of going to it is meeting all of your peers. If you've been to the school before, it's almost a waste IMO. I remember going and feeling like I'd already known a lot of what they were talking about.

also, number one thing I learned there was to TAKE A WRITING ARTS CLASS OVER THE SUMMER. If you don't have english Ap or a credits to exempt you from taking wrtiting arts, take a freshman level english course!
Seriously! I know people right now that are having to write essays and films are due in a month.
I WAS kit, but Animated Buzz doesn't love me anymore nd it's not letting me log on. T^T

Thank God for College Community classes this semester. I took an English Class last semester, and I think I passed it, and now I'm taking another one (Critical Thinking) to get it out of the way.

And dude, thanks for all the inside information and advice. You've been really chill with that as far as keeping us updated.

The English class last semester was Composition, yes.

lol, if by chill you mean lazy and laconic, sure~! :D

Make sure it's a freshman composition class. Not all english classes count.

I know that for me, we had like 4 different classes. I made the highest one, frehsman comp, but if you didn't get into the highest one, you had to take lower classes and they would require you to take more than a semester's wroth of summerschool.

Damn, I have so much info to compile, I won't have enough time to do it and then get good sleep. Sorry guys, if I let you down. I'll make it up by adding a new feature to the menu when I have the time to work on it, maybe tomorrow, since I get out of school at around 8:20.

Where are people getting phone calls from? I just called admissions and they said they never make phone calls.

No, I haven't, and quite frankly, I'd almost forgotten. They're taking a while, aren't they?

I have to decide about USC by the 24th. It sucks and I'm going to see if I can extend my decision-making time so I can first see what my loan situation is with both Cal Arts and USC.

Thought more about going to Cal Arts? ;)

If I get into UCLA, I will probably go there. If I don't, I probably will go to Calarts. Ideally, I'd have both financial packages in front of me before deciding. I just wish UCLA would hurry up so I can finally make the decision. I'm slowly opening up to Calarts, but the cost still bothers me.

Is there anything (besides the difference in cost) that makes you want to go to UCLA more? I'm wondering because as far as I know Cal Arts is a far superior school for animation and for animation connections...Correct me if you think I'm wrong. I'm just trying to form opinions of the diff. schools. I've visited all the schools, and seen the most recent films coming out of the three programs (USC, UCLA, CALARTS). Not that there weren't one or two gems from UCLA, but overall I liked the films from CalArts and USC better.

I'm (or I think I am) willing to deal with the debt in order to go to the best program. I'm still trying to decide and want to hear others' opinions of the programs. That's why I'm asking...

I think in terms of MFA - Calarts, UCLA, USC are high on the list with Calarts probably being the most prestigious of the three. Calarts is geared more towards using new/unique techniques/being more experimental (hence the name). UCLA is more 2D traditional. And USC is more digital, 3D. I think it's just a matter of figuring out which program best suites me. Right now, UCLA is a notch up.
