  Hello everyone! If you have the time, could you possibly critique my portfolio pieces? I'm trying to get into Ringling's Computer Animation program for the Fall 2012 year. Although the deadline is done and I've submitted my portfolio, it would be awesome to hear comments from fellow artists and animators :) Ringling wanted a lot of observational pieces so I have those as well as some portraiture and three-dimensional pieces.

  Seems your portfolio is set to private, so it can't be viewed by people like me :)

  That's ok! :) I can see your "2011-2012 portfolio pieces" are they the same as your Ringling portfolio?

  Have you looked at the conceptart.org forums? http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=229142 there's tons of great information there and loads of Q&A on the Ringling threads :) Otherwise, from what I can tell, I'd say you're on the right path, I like your paintings most. Did you include any figure work? If it helps at all, here was my accepted portfolio: I go by "copperfire" http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=128605&page=6

  Thank you so much, Andrea for taking the time out of your busy schedule to check out my work and providing these links :) This will definitely help me out! Yes, I did include figure work, but only one made it to my portfolio :/ I do hope that the rest of my pieces are good enough, though! I've been so anxious...the waiting period is so stressful! haha
  
  I do have one additional question. Looking back, how helpful was admissions to you? I know I've submitted everything in way before the deadline, but do they give you a confirmation email or letter saying that they got everything from you at some point?

  seem to have the same problem with the setting being on private..? I applied to Ringling too for CA, I got an email saying my submission was successful on slide room if that counts/helps...?

  Hey Uma! I was JUST looking through your album submission for Ringling a few moments ago!!! I am so impressed! Your work is outstanding, especially your figure models! Thanks so much for looking at my work :) Yeah, I did get an email with a confirmation number through slideroom too. I am just really anxious, you know...haha...the wait is stressing me out each day. lol Goodluck to you!!!!!!

  thanks for the kind words, haha yeah i know twiddling thumbs is not fun.... i don't know what to do with myself these days without portfolios keeping me busy lol :P. the link keeps directing me to your page..? would love to see what you submitted..? but i really like your paintings.   LOL....I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling like this :) I updated the link on the first post. But most of my portfolio pieces are the pieces included in the album you've seen! Thanks once again for checking it out!
