Yeah, I plan to go there this weekend with a couple of friends, I know there gaming department is apparently amazing, but it doesnt say much on the animation department when it comes to the website, so, we'll see.
Ah, ok, thanks guys.
I decided to go to Valencia, its a community college where I live, I'll get all my basic classes done, and then hopefully transfer out to a better school.
And Elizabeth, I do have to agree, classes that are that short dont leave enough time for artistic development. Also, apparently Full Sail has a bad rep in the industry, a teacher I know's Husband works in the industry, and after having a talk with her today, she says that whenever her husban receives interns from Full Sail, that there never ready for the job, or up to standards :/
I guess I never realized how bad the school is. Ah well, at least I didnt end up going only to realize this after paying their tuition.
I'm a senior in high school, and I would REALLy love to go into animation, but i'm having trouble deciding between schools, i've missed a couple deadlines already, so i'm trying to decide what would be better, to go to a community college for two years for my A.A. then try to transfer over to another school (really wanna go to CalArts or Ringling) or to go to Full Sail University.(its a school around my neigborhood that seems to have a really good animation program, but while checking it out online, it seems to get mixed reviews, some people really hate it, others love it.) What do you guys think? I figure getting opinions from peole actually at their schools, and in the industry, would know better than some random reviews online.
