Its one of the best animation schools in the world, alot of studios like Pixar and Dreamworks annually send recruiters here and a good number of our students do get jobs at studios like that. I do practice on my own alot, but i really do get alot of input from both my peers and animation instructors.

Eisho Koike I knew Ringling, This school will be my best choice if I live in FL, but I'm living in CA so Calarts maybe is my choice. But at the time i didnt had enough figure/gesture drawings as i do now. Calarts is a well respected school with a great history, but Ringling has a very structured program for students to get jobs. Dont be too concerned about going for a certain style at this point when comes to drawing. What you put down on paper should only come from you, that is all. Just think in terms of capturing the gesture and the shape of the figure, and add certain characteristic elements whether it be the line variation, straight against curves, line of action, angles etc. These are the kind of questions you should ask yourself constantly as you draw, because alot times people get lost in the drawing. When i started out people sketches like these i was very stiff from the beginning. But what helped me at times was to think up a little story, and from that a certain character will come out from that storytelling idea, which is ultimately what animation is all about. Wow,...    less
