From what i seen, i looked at LCADS art classes that you will be taking and they look amazing. Wether you go to Cal Arts or LCAD you have to be good when you get out to get a job. The classes they have will help you get the job you want from what i see in any part of animation production.
I went to a school (SVA) that did not offer those classes and i see the importance of everything you will be offered.
I say go to LCAD for a year and apply for Cal Arts. If you don't get in at least you know that you are in a very very very good school But go for it and remember don't compare you stuff to other students work. If your gonna compare then do so with the greats
for Laura i graduated from school and i'm going through hell with student loans right now as we speak. You can go to a school despite costs if you know in your heart you have what it takes to succeed and you will make sacrifices. If that means working three jobs and going to school full time then you will do it(it's possible ). It's about how bad you want to make your dreams come true.
It's worth it if in your heart you want it. But if your afraid take up something else and never forget you dream. Take classes on the side and get tons of books. Teach yourself as much as you can. Go to animation gatherings, learn about events so you can attend them. Never forget your dream and you will make it in the biz. It's possible with no formal training yunno.
I didn't get any help from the government and i don't have help from my parents and i went to a school that pretty much 20-40,000 a year But i wanted it and i'm dealing with it...And i know i will be fine and get through it. so i'm in a house worth of debt but it's worth it to me and i would not change a thing (maybe the school i went to lol)
