I don't know how much help I can be with improving, but what has helped me is trying to draw as much life as i can. pets, people, scenery, still life, etc. and focusing on shading/ light source so it looks like the form has weight. I also recommend trying to get out of your comfort zone and draw things you don't usually draw. Sorry if I wasn't much help!
