I'm waiting for SCAD to reply. After the initial rejection depression wore off, I can honestly say I'm not even feeling bad about attending there if I'm accepted! For starters, they have some insane restraunts (MELLOW MUSHROOM yeaaaHH also paula deen anyone?? (no not on my budget)), the city is absolutely gorgeous, it's slightly cheaper (and a year shorter) to get my MFA there, and honestly they have some classes that i am DYING TO TAKE

 

a guy i'm kind of in a long distance relationship with also lives a few hours away, so this might even give me the chance to know him better, and I also have some good online friends in that area. 

 

if i've learned one thing from spending the last 6 years at a university that loses more animation profs than defense against the dark arts teachers, it's to make do with what you have (and to have a unending distrust in the registration office). SCAD has more than enough tbh

 

just because you guys made it into calarts, dont think i'll go easy on you! better watch yo back cuz i'll be there

Congrats on getting into LCAD! I haven't heard from Calarts yet, but if I'm rejected this year I'm planning on going to SVA since I was accepted there a couple weeks ago for animation :) But last year when I was rejected I did the practice on my own thing and I have to say my art really, really improved in such a short amount of time. The problem with it though is that you sort of have to be somewhere where you know you have a bunch of options around you.

Very interesting! I had a real hard time deciding whether to go to another school or not because it would be another year of expences to add on, but eventually I decided it would be good to get some more educational backing!
