Hey everyone!! I'm Sandeepan and I'm from Mumbai, India. I have been interested in animation since I was a kid and soon enough came to know about Calarts. But I was also stupid and scared enough to not apply to Calarts and instead joined an animation institute here which left a very bad taste.

I've been working in the animation industry here as a concept artist for the past 2 years and it so happened that suddenly I felt this strong urge to revisit the learning process, this time in the best way possible. I'm turning 25 this year and I somehow felt that I had just one shot at this. I was indeed glad that I got in on my first try! Its going to be truly an amazing journey! 

Like many others here, I'm also very shy...so please don't misunderstand! I love 2D animation...I'm a big fan of Brad Bird and Glen Keane for their great storytelling and animation skills.

 I unfortunately will be missing out the accepted student event but I'm very excited to see you guys in September!

Thanks Shanti! I was actually worried about the result as I believe my work lacked the experimentation which others have so beautifully have inserted into their portfolios. Anyways...CONGRATS everyone who got accepted!!

I will be applying to Sheridan as well. But of course Calarts is my first preference. Can anyone suggest a place where the focus is more on 2d animation and story telling?
